“Ashes of the First Kingdom”

In dawn’s embrace, where rivers thread,
A tribe of embers rose from dread,
With sharpened flint and hearts of flame,
They carved a land and claimed a name.

The forests bowed to crafted steel,
The harvests grew from soil they tilled,
Stone by stone, a fortress climbed—
A kingdom born of mortal will.

Their banners danced in morning light,
Their songs were thunder in the night,
The wise recalled the humble start—
The young believed they owned the stars.

But envy grows where crowns reside,
And greed burns hotter than the pyre—
Brother fought, and brother died,
For gold, for glory, for desire.

The fields turned black beneath the hooves
Of conquerors who once were kin,
The sky grew dark, the rivers choked—
A kingdom breaking from within.

The final king, once proud and true,
Stood silent as the walls withdrew,
And from the ruins winds declare:
“No reign is safe from time’s cold stare.”

Now only whispers haunt the plain—
Of knights and tribes and fleeting reign,
A rise, a fall, in fate’s design—
All kingdoms dust in endless time.
